Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 August 2025. Last updated: August 2026.
This policy explains what information Proxy Guard Pro ("the App") collects,
how it is used, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Data we collect
- Diagnostic and analytics data — crash logs, performance metrics and
anonymised usage statistics. Advertising and analytics identifiers (e.g. IDFA)
only if you grant App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission.
- Network traffic data (on-device) — when you enable the App's features it
may record metadata such as host/domain, timestamps, protocol, bytes in/out,
response code, interface (Wi-Fi / cellular / proxy) and matched rule names. In
simulated mode the traffic is synthetic and contains no real user data. If you
explicitly enable HTTPS decryption on managed devices with a user-installed
certificate, decrypted content is processed locally on-device to apply rules;
the App does not transmit decrypted content off-device.
- User-provided data — rule sets you create, import or export; DNS overrides
you define; certificates you generate in the App for local use.
- Feedback you choose to send — if you submit feedback from inside the App,
the message text you type is sent to our own server and stored so we can read
and respond to it. Nothing else is attached, and no feedback is sent unless you
tap send.
2. How we use data
- To provide and operate App features (rule matching, DNS tools, traffic views).
- To improve reliability, performance and user experience.
- To show non-personalised or personalised ads, where enabled and permitted.
- For security purposes — detecting abuse and troubleshooting.
3. Processing and storage
- On-device first — traffic logs and rule sets are stored locally. The App
keeps a rolling buffer of recent traffic records (about the last 5,000) and lets
you clear them at any time.
- No cloud upload by default — we do not upload your traffic logs or rules
unless you actively export or share them, or send them to us as feedback.
- Certificates and private keys generated in-app are intended for local use and
can be revoked or deleted by you.
4. Third-party services
- Apple — App Store infrastructure, SKAdNetwork, system diagnostics.
- Google AdMob (when ads are shown) — may collect device identifiers, IP
address and usage signals to deliver and measure ads. See
Google's privacy policy and the
AdMob policies.
- Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics — crash reporting and usage analytics. See
Firebase privacy.
These providers act as processors or independent controllers under their own terms.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary with
the service providers listed above, to comply with law, or to protect rights,
property and safety.
6. Your choices and controls
- Tracking — you can deny ATT permission, and change it later under
Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ads — you can disable personalised ads in iOS settings; ads may still
appear but will be less relevant.
- Logs — clear traffic logs from within the App at any time.
- Certificates — revoke or remove user-installed certificates and uninstall
profiles at any time.
- Export — rules are exported and shared only when you choose to.
7. Data retention
On-device logs are kept in a rolling buffer and can be cleared by you.
Diagnostic and analytics retention follows the platform defaults set by Apple and
Google. Feedback you send us is kept until we have dealt with it; email
talnirapps@gmail.com to have it deleted sooner.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures. No method of
electronic storage is 100% secure.
9. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
Third-party processors may store or process data globally under their own
safeguards and transfer mechanisms.
11. Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / CCPA) you may have rights to access,
delete or correct your data. Because we primarily store data on-device, some
requests are fulfilled by actions you perform locally (clearing logs,
uninstalling the App). For data held by a third party, contact that provider
directly. For anything we hold, email
talnirapps@gmail.com.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance.
